Following on from the Governments confirmation to move to Step 4 of the Covid-19 Roadmap in England on Monday 19 July 2021, AMATA looks to welcome fuller audiences, performances, events, and activities from this date. AMATA will continue to follow industry best practice and sector specific guidance issued by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and adopt the following measures set out by UK Theatre:

The following measures will remain from 19 July 2021:

  • Enhanced cleaning
  • Hand sanitiser stations
  • Wearing of face coverings strongly encouraged, especially while moving around inside the venue. Falmouth University and FXPlus staff to still wear face coverings in line with organisational policy
  • Modified routes around the building to avoid overcrowding
  • Recommendation that audiences bring minimal possessions
  • Contactless ticketing
  • Robust Covid-19 risk assessment procedures and lateral flow testing for staff, crew and visiting artists with a recommendation that audiences also continue to take lateral flow tests regularly

The following measures will cease from 19 July 2021:

  • Socially distanced auditorium seating (although this will remain in place for our Edinburgh Fringe Digital Showcase and NYDC performance throughout August)
  • Restrictions on booking party size and limitations to household or bubbles
  • Compulsory check-in via the NHS app before entering the venue (although QR code to remain in place for audiences who want to still check in via the app)

The following updated measure will be implemented from Friday 10 December 2021:

  • Face masks will be legally required to be work by anyone attending a performance or event at AMATA over the age of 12 in all areas of the AMATA Building. This includes when seated in auditoriums.

All the above will be reviewed in line with any updated guidance issued by the Government or DCMS.
